Post What other bike(s) besides the V?

Does anybody here have a second bike to the the V? If not, what other kind of bike would you like to have besides the V?

I would give my left nut for a Ducati Sport 1000 in black. I saw one last week in Hoboken, NJ and fell in love. I just don't have $12,000. But I can still dream.

I have 7 others (6 that run) but the favorite for around town is a DRZ 400SM.

Thumbs up

The whole idea of the thread is to see what kind of bikes or likes so as we can discuss them, good try with the DRZ but we missed out on others.

For around town in heavy metropoli, I can see where you would like the DRZ, small agile and economical as well as being fun.

Let's keep 'em rolling

PS Just had a friend call me and offer to buy my V or trade it for an Aprilia Shiver Told him that the V did much more than that one and that the Shiver is less than my Tuono R.

I have a 2007 Victory Vegas, it doesn't get ridden much since I got my "other" V though.

Can't find the smileys that say "This thread is useless without pics"

2009 Kawasaki Versys
2007 Honda ST1300
2003 Honda Shadow 1100
2008 Yamaha YZF-R6

Right now the rest of the bikes are jealous because the R6 is getting such EXTREME amounts of attention.

Here are a couple pics that I could find quickly, I'll try and find others...

"One day last week I was riding my bike, I can't remember exactly what day it was, maybe Tuesday, around 3:00pm or was it 4:00pm, not sure but I think it was 3:00pm when I noticed the fuel gauge started blinking, you know the last bar on the bike telling you need to get gas, so I looked for the next gas station, right down the road was two gas stations an Exxon and a BP, both had exactly the same price, so I couldn't decide, so I just picked one, after filling up I continued on my way." --fitz

Yep, 9 bikes currently in the garage although dirt bikes outnumber streetbikes 5 to 3 (the KLR is smack dab in the middle!).

I still need a long distance cruiser (like an FJ) and a trials bike. I also want a Ducati S4RS because...............well, I don't have a good reason: I just want one!

I'd love to get my hands on a Triumph Street Triple R. Saw one the other day at a dealer, just love it. And then a long distance cruiser, but right now I just enjoy riding the V, wouldn't have time to ride the other anyways.

Moon Dust Gray Versys, with lots of farkles.

Vlast

P.S. I bought my Versys to support my photography hobby.

Good one, you never need a reason, it's what ever floats your boat and be happy with it. This was the whole purpose of this thread so we could discuss our different likes and maybe others learn from them or see different points of view in a very biased way.

I see quite some people with their sport bikes, cruisers and or tourers. I see the V as a great second bike, it fills a personal gap amongst the other ones and we who have more than one are truly blessed to be able to do so IMHO.

For many people, motorcycling is not just a hobby but a way of life; we should embrace it rather than make it controversial.

I'm glad to see the growing enthusiasm, let's keep it up
