V 2010 New rubber engine mount!

http://www.motorcycledaily.com/05oct...0kawasakis.htm

"For lower-budget travelling, the Versys gets some changes to make it more practical and fun to ride. There's new bodywork that makes the Versys look more…um…well, nobody buys the Versys for its looks, right? More importantly, it gets a revised, adjustable windscreen, new rubber engine mounts and footpegs aimed at reducing vibration, new passenger grabrails and seat, and new tie-down hooks for luggage."

I like the freshened look. I'll be the first to say it. I wonder if the new parts are going to be able to retrofitted to earlier models?

Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching.

I don't have vibration problems, so the rubber mounts aren't a concern.

It'll probably be a while before companies that make bag mounts and engine guards get new ones designed and in production.

I am betting this reduces a lot of the mirror vibes. I would be interested in seeing if it can be retrofitted. I mean, Kawi wouldn't have done it if it didn't help.

I like the revised 2010 Versys' looks and revisions, although the partial styling change seems a bit odd. Also, they've improved the passenger seat without touching the troublesome driver's seat. I don't think it got similar to the Ninja 650R's: "Revised fuel injection settings result in smoother low-end response while contributing to the new quicker-revving character." and a :"40mm wider radiator increases cooling capacity to help maintain consistent engine temperatures for long engine life and sustained power during hard use." to go with the new radiator shrouds. I don't mind the new style, color scheme, mirror and rad shroud shape, headlight and windscreen at all, but what inspired them so...?

Man... I just bought my 2009 Versys in July1, 2009...

I just really like the new look... I wonder how the wind protection is like, fairing seem smaller in front...

How much money I will loose if I trade my 2009 in for a 2010?

Wheres the 19" or 21" front wheel? I use my V as an adv. bike and will not change unless they make it more dual sport, but after 51000 hard km. still love it.

More cosmetic detail about the new 2010 V. (posted on Malaysian V forum)
IMO, it looks now more like a BM.

Thousands. Having to pay sales tax again is enough deterrent by itself (depending on where you live).

And in the end, you've paid huge amounts of money to upgrade to a bike that is indistinguishable from your last one from the cockpit.

I like that Green too.

I wonder what they did on rubber mounting the motor. Might be something to retrofit?
