Cool Cooler Weather =

Better Performance.

Wow...for awhile now, I was getting bummed after reading how easy it was to get the Versys up on one wheel in first gear, and then having to work pretty hard to wheelie in real life. I live in very Southern Louisiana and it's literally been over 90* for the past 6 months...that's just how it is here.

100% humidity and over 90* everyday for half the year.

I could get a wheelie by lagging throttle for a split second and then jumping on it really hard. It would pull up high, but I felt like I was having to work harder at it than everyone else was letting on. It was discouraging, to think my Versys was down on power.

Well... Today was the first day in a loooooong time where it was finally mid 70's and NO HUMIDITY! Wow, what a difference a little cooler weather brings!

I can be rolling along at 3k-4k rpm, grab some throttle, and up she comes...what a great feeling. I expect the fun to only increase as the cold sets in down here. And when I say 'cold', I mean anything under 70*.

Cheers,

JM

Lol, couple of weeks ago I was riding from Maine to New Brunswick at night and it might have been around 50, some of my friends saw moose by the road, I was glad I didn't.

Moon Dust Gray Versys, with lots of farkles.

Vlast

P.S. I bought my Versys to support my photography hobby.

WOW! I lived most of my life down in the southwest USA but now I'm up here in Ontario, Canada and it's autumn. It's around 40 degrees out now at 10:30 PM. I was hoping for my firewood guy to drop 15 cords off this evening but he never showed. I moved from southern California four years ago but I'll never go back. This is truly God's country. The only thing I miss is the weather.

Wow, and I thought southern Cali was the place to be to ride year long on the vast dry lands. So you mean 4.4 Canadian Celcius degrees... Glad to hear you like it up here in the crisp clean air, wooded lake lands, although we did get a cool wet summer. We're getting a bit of snow up north this morning at 1C.

Yup if it wasn't for the weather we would have 300 million people living here too.

John, we can't turn this into a weather competition. It's 2 degrees celsius (35.6 degrees fahrenheit) outside right now and it looks like we have rain for the next five days if it doesn't snow first. Not exactly riding weather. Unless we have a real freak warm spell I'm done riding for this season.

It's 3 degrees C here and raining nicely. And of course it wasn't when I rode in this morning. I'm gonna be wet.
