Low Deductible with high medical. Not that far off the mark. Check out Dairyland though.

Of and Riders of Kawasaki and AMA members get discounts.

they were $10 higher. If I join a riding group it is cheaper? Did I mention I live in the SF Bay Area?

All big cities have much higher rates. It has to do with claims in specific zip codes if I recall.

I only carry liability. It's a lot cheaper in the long run to self-insure collision and comp, and put the difference in investments, rather than give it away to the insurance company. Essentially, insurance is gambling. You bet the insurance company $400, for instance, that you'll wreck the bike or have it stolen in the next year. If you don't, you lose your money to them. If you do, they'll pay off, then double your premium for the next 5 years. Me, I liquidate enough of that investment to repair or replace the bike.

I went to Dairyland, with good coverage, and a $500 deductible at age 59 mine is $302 with the motorcycle safety course under my belt. Three easy payments.

I got the same kind of quotes form a couple of agencies. Finally ended up at National for 10 bucks a month. I couldn't believe how the price ranged from one place to another.

Old dude, owner of a home, clean record, job, smaller town in the pacific norhtwest where you can't ride everyday for a few months of the year.

Keep shopping.
