Helmet Hooks Under seat?

Can you ride with an extra helmet hooked under the seat and hanging on the side.

There is no reason why not but I wouldn't do it, would probably flap around in the wind flow and potentially damage both helmet and bike.

Suggest you carry an extra helmet on the passenger part of the seat, secured by a "cargo net". Then lock it up when you're parked, and a bicycle cable-lock thru the chin-bar will take care of that.

I forgot that there are helmet hooks under the seat. I think they are fairly useless. I'd go with the cargo net idea, or a tailbag with enough room for a helmet.
