As a sheet metal fabricator of 14 years, thats a pretty decent price too. The aluminum alone for one is probably $40 bucks. Not to mention each one of those to weld is probably about half an hour, if not more. All in all, seems well built and good price. Would make sure they paint them properly though, aluminum can be tricky to paint.

Edit: nevermind, they are powder coated, as long as its prepped, should be good to go.

You want to be sure they are the Powder coated one and are powdered on the inside as well. Raw Alu will leave gray marks all over everything inside otherwise.

If I need a new set of boxes I think I'd spring for a set of these.

Or was that look THEN leap?

A guy sells them as "Dirtbaggs" in Canada, and I have a set waiting in my BC garage for my return from AZ, to be installed on my '09. Cost was $700 including GiVi racks (about $410 just for the 9" black bags w/ the 45 degree outer bottom edge).

I could go around the world - twice - with less storage space.

I don't get it.
