leaving for the smokies Tennessee

planning on heading out in the morning out of roanoke va. heading to gatlinburg ..running the BRP the whole way..nice leisure ride....plan is to stop in asheville tomorrow night...check out the wheels through time museum sun..then it on to cherokee, gatlinburg and pigeon forge....looks like six of us are riding...hope to have a good time. i've done the ride twice before but it's the first for my friends....

Make sure Wheels Through Time is open. The last time I talked to them they were only open by appointment for large groups.

oooow Nice ride. I just did that same exact ride back in June. I also stayed the night in Asheville (highly recommend the Roadway inn, cheap and nice place) and Pigeon Forge. Be sure to take lots of pics!

We just got back from riding the BRP from end to end......I rode my FJR, my wife rode the Versys........Great time !!!

We ended up riding 1449 miles, the Versys performed perfect, in the twisties, and at 70-80 mph on I75 on the way home. I had just put PR2's on it the week before

Good luck on the trip. Have fun! Watch out for those idiot cagers. Gonna do that trip next summer. Can't wait.
