Anyone planning on attending D2D Dust To Dawson

Any V owners making plans to go this year? It is an adventure trek to Dawson City Canada over the Top of the World Highway.
Here is a link or 2 for information:

It draws riders of ALL makes, models and abilities. I've seen scooters, Busas, Harleys, 80's cruisers, WR250's, TONS of BMW's, KLR's, even my 1988 Kickstart Honda XR600 Thumper, and everything inbetween.
I will be attending for the 3rd time
And YES you DO NEED a current passport or passport card.

Who is up for an epic ride?

Hmm... considering it.
I was just curious if Pilot Road tires would be ok for this sorta thing?

Like I mentioned there have been ALL kinds of bikes and tire combos on the road there. A couple hundred if it that is NOT PAVED would be a challenge IF the weather turned bad. It pretty much boils down to rider skill and good decision making at that point. You could just tough it out and take your XL600!
BTW I grew up camping at Indian Lake, Wells Beach, Fish Creek, Hiking up Baldy and such. Grew up near Saratoga (Galway)

Or, for the REST of us, "It is an adventure trek to Dawson City Canada" via the Alcan (Alaska Hwy) or the Stewart/ Cassiar Hwy and the Alcan...!

ONLY IF you're coming FROM AK like Jeff (or the Lower 48), or continuing ON to AK after D2D, which IS worthwhile for you other Canucks...!

You can ride pavement from NY all the way to Dawson City, with the exception of where the road's being repaired.

My FIRST AK adventure was on a Bandit 1200S on street tires, and we rode to Dawson FROM Chicken over "Top of the World", about 75 miles of dirt. DRY dirt.... In 2013 it was 75 miles of MUD - -!

Cool, I was just curious was all, not hard to throw on some better suited tires! And cool Jeff, I'm north of Utica. Remsen area to be exact, always up in the Adirondacks!
