44t SP WITH M PR4's

Bought the 44t sp in 2012. Never put it on. Thought its time to try it.

Like the lower gears for sure, so we shall see?

80% paved, 15% gravel or dirt, 5% off road.

Spedo should now be almost dead on.

When snow and ice is gone a review will follow.

Awesome... Your Versys has now been optimized.

M PR5's will hopefully be ready for me to try out next year!

Did you have to get a new chain or change the length of your old one?

I put a 43T on mine over the weekend. The stock chain works fine.

Your stock chain will work fine for the 44t!

Went for a small test ride. How nice to have that little taller gears. Still lots of power but smoother. So far and as far as the PR4's . Wow! I should have done this two years ago!

You beat me to the test ride!! Glad you like the new tires. Did you install the PR4's yourself?

44t and Michelin PR-2's are the magic combo for me. I haven't tried the PR4's yet, but I imagine they're great!

No, was going to but had a fifty dollar coupon from local shop because they bought my scorpion jacket. Install was $130.00 minus $50.00 = $80.00. Next time going to buy everything and do it myself. Hopefully the shop will be done and that will help.

Second test ride complete. Tighted the chain up and took off!

The 44t sprocket makes everything so smooth. Really like that!

Tires are awesome!

Come on Spring!

Tires $297.98 plus $80.00 for install. Total =$377.98

Not bad at all. I spent probably $130 in tools supplies all said and done so I will make up for the difference on the next tire swap.

I don't have a usable garage and have to work out side. Hope to build a shop this year, not for sure yet.

I really enjoy working on my own equipment and have been dreaming of my own shop.

Capn, you are going to love these tires!

With tires and sprocket its like I have a new better bike!

My fellow rider and forum members. Do not do as I have done!

I waited until 2014 to put my 44t and MPR4's on. Let me just say do not wait!

My bike is a 2010 and thought I wanted the lower gears for trails. Wrong, 44t makes the V smooth as butter! Lots of low end and wonderful on the highway.

Just did a 50 mile ride and the MPR4"s are the bomb!

Locked and loaded for Spring and Summer riding.

Forcast is snow and freezing rain for tomorrow.

I will second the 44 tooth rear sprocket. Glad I switched early on..

Now to get above freezing so I can try out the tires....

I am going to ordering a pr4 soon as I wore the side of the tire out on the pr3. The center of the tire could still go 1500 more miles. To bad I don't live in a flat state. I have to many curvy roads where I live

My heart bleeds for you! I have a 120 km round trip commute; the highlight of which is a roundabout. other than that, I turn 4 times, including the turn out of my driveway. I've never seen a tire as square as the Heidenau on my rear! Have a 44t and PR4's on order. The '07 i'm selling was set up for gravel, but the 08 i'm working on will be road.

Got out for 150 mile ride and all I can say is "perfect".

44t is so smooth and easy and the PR4's are really the best tires I have ever had.

Now we have snow again, but it will melt and soon. Spring is soooo nice!

Another option is the 16T front, about the same result.
