Looks interesting . . .

So, how can we watch this if we don't live in Wauwautosa, WI?

Cheers!

I read on one of the whyweride links that if it is not showing in your area, you can have a showing in your local area by renting(?) a local theater.

Just watched it last night, we really enjoyed it.

Probably will never be the classic that On Any Sunday is but for a new movie it is very good. They cover about every type of motorcycle racing.

Well worth watching.

If you were to give "On Any Sunday" a 5 out of 5 start rating, how many stars would you give "Why We Ride" ?

I'd give WWR a 4 or so. Its been a long, long time since any kind of m/c movie has even been a two in my book.
Not only does it have Motorsports but riding in general....even has the mandatory HD stuff.
I was riding when OAS came out, now its cool to look back on the vintage bikes and gear.

OAS came out when I was in high school. One of my all time favorite movies.

I also liked how they featured some footage of the two bike models that I owned during that time - a 1971 Kawasaki "Enduro" (in the scene with guy learing to ride in the subdivision), and a 1969 Bultaco Sherpa T (in the scene where the the Trials rider is bopping down the road doing a wheelie while the sound track is playing that funky bass line). That made my day!

Why We Ride didn't really speak to me so much. It felt more like a television documentary than a movie but not a particularly deep documentary. That said, one thing I really did appreciate in the movie was the female rider/racer presence.

Am I the only one who thought this movie was a large steaming pile of
I will give them brownie points for only mentioning "freedom" once (I think) but other than that it was just entirely boring. Endless slow mo's and dramatic music with somebody talking about feeling the wind in their hair.
