Blue 09 Coming this Thursday

Well I didnít think it was ever going to happen but I finally sold my DRZ for a good price and that was a slow process in this market. I pick up my brand new 09 blue Versys this Thursday. Iíve been lurking around and made a couple of post. I know ďbear on a bicycleĒ form over at TT on the DRZ board and he has given me some great information. Thanks to all of you for posting it has made researching the bike a snap. I already have the happy trails panniers and I just ordered a givi windscreen. So I think Iím pretty set and looking forward to hanging around with you guys. OTD price was 6650.00 and I made them put in writing that if I bought the rubber from them they would mount for free for the 1st two sets and he gave me a cover for leaving it at the airport and train station. Pretty sure he was glad to get rid of me:-)

Rick I think it has to do with the economy and the fact that they have 4 sitting on the showroom floor more then my skills. From what I can tell its only about 100 under the going rate right now. I'm lucky I had the money now and they are willing to deal a little more then last year say.

Don't get the blue, there's a recall on that paint!! Just kidding and good luck with the new toy. I wish I were getting a new one this week (green, of course).

Everything said about this bike here is true. Day two and I'm really happy. Small nits and I knew they would be is the tight wheelbase and tallness of the bike. Itís not squirrelly but is does handle quite differently then anything else I've ever ridden in the past 10 years. I love it's soft forgiving nature and its really comfortable. canít wait to get my happy trails panniers. Thanks again to everyone here for posting with all the great information.

If I new what I was doing, I wouldn't still be working

Congrats on the new bike!!! I've got 564 miles on mine now, and with that first 55mph 4000rpms being over the bike is alot more enjoyable to ride, 70 [email protected] Now I can really go places other than back roads. I only had a green one to choose from, but that blue sure is sharp!

Hey Randy if All I had was the green to pick from I'd have been just as happy. Both color schemes where really well done IMO. As it was they had both and the little lady liked the blue the best so I went with her pick on color.....I just wanted the new bike:-)

Hey I love the blue one and was on the verge off buying it when I found the 08 that I wound up with...

You got a great price! I'm in VA too and could only get my guys (Wayne's Cycle in Waynesboro,) down to $6850 otd...

Where is this hungry dealership you bought from?

There are 2 Valley Cycle Center in Winchester and Loudoun Motor Sports in Leesburg. Loudoun was more willing to deal but Valley 6700 and change on the phone.

Yeah, I confessed to my guy that I had found a used one... Probably dulled his pencil...
