ya it's been around Here and there nothing wrong with a re-post to a 5 yr old article

"Bottom Line As it is, the Versys looks like an adventure-tourer, but really isn’t one."

Not my words that's a direct quote from Motorcycle Consumer News.

In the Tester Log they also say

"The reality is that the Versys is a poser as an adventuretourer, its rear suspension can’t handle it. But it does make a very nice runabout, commuter or mid-size sport-tourer, and excellent hard bags are in the Kawasaki accessory catalog."

.
Your entitled to your opinion, If you don't like Motorcycle Consumer News opinions you should probably write them.

Under which BM linked to the Motorcycle Consumer News Article.

The words in quotation marks are not mine.

[Darn a "Catch 22" to call someone out for a perceived behavior and then commit the behavior]

It's to bad peoples "egos" are bruised by the Motorcycling Publications absence of the "Adventure" label in regard to their bike.

If Motorcycling Publications and or Kawasaki were labeling it as an "Adventure Bike" then it would be.

Just because people have had adventure on their Versys, doesn't make it an "Adventure" Bike.

They could take that issue up with the respective Publications, Emailing pictures of their dirty bikes where Harley's, Bandit's, a myriad of other bikes and semi trucks traverse on a daily basis.

I'm sure you Kiwi, have had "adventure" on your Ninja 1000. Does that make it an "Adventure Bike" ?

Here's a list, "Adventure Touring Buyer's Guide"

The cheapest way to get a subscription is through Amazon.com.

Exclamation

That's what it's all about guys, heated discussion!!!!

Seriously though, an "adventure" to some is fighting their way through the traffic in Las Vegas to get to their favourite 'bikers cafť, & to others it's crossing a desert, riding offroad to the highest peaks, or covering as many miles as they can just so that they can impress others with their magnificent feats!!!

Whatever guys, but let's all be friends while we're "falling out" about each others opinions!!!!

The title of this thread reads "All you ever want to know about the Versys" .....I can't imagine being that narrow minded.

thanks for link!

For the discussion: The only true test for the machine is the satisfaction it provides. There is no other test. -- from Zen & the art of motorcycle maintenance

IMHO, Versys has adventure ergonomics but a street optimized suspension (both 650 and 1000), and i quite like that!
