Torque

I think I read somewhere that this year's Versys 650 has more low-down grunt than earlier ones. Is this true?

ER-6n and Ninja 650R:

2009- Revised fuel mapping and a larger airbox for increased midrange power. Larger radiator borrowed from Versys.

2012- The parallel-twin engine is unchanged apart from a small reduction in compression ratio (Versys inspired), but the exhaust system has been revised. This and a new engine map increase the spread of torque further down the rev range while lowering the peak figure slightly (Versys inspired)... The frame and the swingarm are new, with a doubled-up tube design that adds visual interest, while there’s 5mm more suspension travel at each end (Versys inspired), which allows softer springs and damping.
