CAA & Motorcycles

The text below is from an email I just received. I was not aware of the policy distinction:

Quote:
"Did you know that the CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) membership
does not include bringing gas to a stranded motorcycle, only 4 wheel
automobiles. You must have a premium membership to provide service to your
bike. I don't think this is fare or well comunicated. If you have CAA you
should voice your displeasure at [email protected] <[email protected]>.

P.S> Don't ask me how I know about the above."

AAA Seems to have the same policy.

Eligible Vehicles

Quote:
Service applies to all properly licensed four-wheeled motor vehicles of the passenger, pleasure or recreational type (vans, campers and motor homes) regardless of license plate designation, if service can be safely delivered. Dual-wheel campers/motor homes and pickup trucks will be provided all services except tire service, towing, and extrication. Rented passenger vehicles and certain commercial vehicles are eligible for service. Service is not provided for: motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, snowmobiles, tractors, buses, taxi cabs, limousines or all terrain vehicles.
I have AAA RV Plus which covers almost everything and it will tow you further and a bunch of other stuff that I forget.

I'm not surprised, both are automobile clubs.

Triple A towed my bike no questions asked at one point.
The card, mater of fact, was not even under my name but my girlfriend's dad.
