Best replacement Mirrors? Not a fix to OEMs.

So in an effort to tighten my mirrors for the same reason as everyone else, I snapped the stem. They're Junk! So my question is for those that tried OTHER mirrors, which work best? Work worst? Thanks, I'll need to order new ones soon.

I replaced the mirrors on my KLR with ones from TPI Motorcycle Parts. Follow this link and click through to KLR Section and then to Mirrors. The post is 10mm like most bikes, so it should work on the Versys. I also used their mirror dampeners. They may or may not have added value, but for less than $10 for the pair, it's worth trying anyway.

I'm probably going to order these to replace the mirrors on my Versys soon. If you decide to go this route, please report back here.

I use bar end mirrors that screw into the OEM bars. They work a hellova lot better than the stockers, don't move at all, and were cheap.

Hey schleppy did you have to remove the bar end weights or are you still able to use them and what would be the chances of putting on hand guards with bar end mirrors any idea?

Hi Jeepinoutwest,

The Z1000 work very well. Much less vibs than the OEM.
Also allows you to see further out to the side.

Best Regards.

Hi LAVersys,

Interesting online parts catalogue for the V:
http://fiche.worldofpowersports.com/...p?Type=12&A=72

Z1000 mirrors each USD 47.73
Refer to http://fiche.worldofpowersports.com/...=13&A=101&B=47

Can't conform but someone told me F800gs mirrors also work for the V.

Good Luck.

Z1000, and CRG knockoff's on the bar ends as well. They compliment each other quite well...

Thanks you guys!

The Z1000 mirrors looks really good, much better than the original mirrors.

Z1000 mirrors just screw right on, right? No modification of any kind?

Yes, LAVersys. Just screw on. Using a spring washer to prevent mine from moving around.

Question for the guys using Z1000 mirrors - Do these have the terrible "inner nut" setup with 4 washers and all that crap? or is it a straightforward bolt on type? I'm happy to shell down 80 - 90 bucks for a solid setup that I dont have to mess with often!

Thanks guys!

I put these on mine. They have a lock-nut at the base and are long enough that mirror extenders aren't needed. Vibration is almost nonexistent.

I took the bar end off, but if you had a long enough bolt you could definitely use both.
