I pulled the triggle today !!!

Hi All,

I went to a local dealership today just to look around... To make a long story short... I bought a 2009 Versys.

After many months of thinking, looking, tire kicking and you know what not...

I went there alone and don't think the dealer will sell it to me for such a low price, but they did! I will be picking up the bike first thing tomorrow morning.

I have been riding seriously since 2001. I had 2001 Yamaha Vstar 650, 2005 Suzuki Vstrom 650, 2006 Harley Davidson Softail Deuce, 2006 BMW K1200GT, 2007 Yamaha FZ1, 2007 Suzuki GSXR1000.

I stop riding in 2008 due to divorce... Now I am back!

And the color of my new versys is... "GREEN" of course!!!

Yes Green is the fastest second place color. Red is always #1.

What you do with your "triggle" is your business.

Re: Pulling the trigger

Since I'm in the L.A. area too, what dealership did you purchase your bike from? If you don't mind sharing, what was your total cost?

I haven't pulled the triggle in a number of years.

But congrats on the Versys anyway. Interesting to see if it holds a candle to some of your former rides.

That FZ1 had to be awesome and it don't get better than a K1200GT.

But it will get you more chicks than that Harley. One of the guys on here said so.

Sorry guys... English is my second language (Actually more like 4 or 5)

Sorry, I meant trigger...

I paid $6999 OTD (including CA almost 10% tax, registration and whatever fee), I got it from Burt's Mega Mall in West Covina.

So far I love the Versys. I put on about 25 miles from riding around town, just local no highway. I notice this bike has quite a lot of torque for a 650, gearing must be short; I am able to ride around 35mph with 6th gear.

Bike vibrate quite a bit which I like : ) One of the screw that hold on to the license plate came off and got lost on the way home just after 11 miles back from the dealer. I took off the the other one and went out for more riding...

Exhaust sound loud for a stock... Cool... : )

So far, I just love this bike!

I will give another comparison to my other bike when I put on more miles.

I love the FZ1... But the frame cracked after 3 months, 5000+ miles... for no reason. I don't do wheelie or anything, just ride a lot.

K1200GT was a lemon... I had all kind of problem with it and BMW had no idea how to fix it !!! It was a nightmare for me.

I love the Harley also... but had to sell it due to the divorce.
