Why it's so hard for people to tie down their stuff.

I'm more annoyed at the white car coming into your lane.

I like how a car goes ahead and takes your spot on the road, while you are maneuvering around the debris, haha. As if you just decided to cruise along the shoulder. A few times I've pulled over to let an ambulance go by and then had some douche pull up beside me (I'm on the shoulder), box me in, then take off first after the emergency vehicle goes by. As if I had just decided to park there.

Reminds me of our roads here in NJ. We are constantly dodging debris...

WHENEVER you go onto the shoulder, be EXTRA vigilant for debris, as that's where it ends up! (Flat tire territory....)

True! That pillow was on the shoulder this morning. I had not much option, the two cars in front braked hard and I didn't want to brake harder fearing an impact from behind.

That reminds me of what happened to a friend of mine, during his commute on this Honda 350 (a few years ago), on the freeway, during rush hour, an extension ladder appeared in the road right in front of him. The cars in front of him had just straddled that ladder with out missing a beat. Major panic at that point!

He ended up leaning back and gassing it to ride over it at about 50 mph. This is another reason not to follow the car ahead too closely, even in heavy traffic.

Noticed you were using your tagging feature on the drift camera. I used mine on the trip to Las Vegas it was nice since you don't have to download a bunch of footage you'll never use. But the main reason i got the camera is if i was ever hit and then not able to give my side of the story that it would be on the video. In the tagging mode if you get hit and knocked out you won't be able to save the footage because you won't be able to tap the remote.

You are right. I thought about using the Car mode too, but I feel reluctant to wire me to the bike, I like the tagging feature, but as you said it will not get everything. I turned on to capture those special moments that special Floridians gift us every day.

Short trips i just use the battery. But longer trips i use the USB cable that came with the Drift and Powerlet USB Cig Adapter plugged into a 12V outlet. When i get off the bike i just pull the USB Adapter with the Cable still in it and put it in my jacket pocket till i get back on the bike then just plug it back up.

Fast lane shoulder is more dangerous for slowing down, no one expects you to throttle down, so forgive the said white car.
