Shinko Raven 009 Review/anyone tried trail attacks?
I have just put 8,000 miles on my Ravens and thought I would give my observations since I am shopping for my next set of tires. For the money I spent on these I am impressed. Not great tires but but better than average.
Good wear and have at least 2-3,000 miles still left.
Good grip overall except at full lean to the edges.
The tread pattern gives decent grip on loose gravel and dirt roads.
Great value and build quality for the low cost.
Good in the rain.
Squirmy at full lean.
Turn in is slow.
If you want a good all around tire that has great build quality and a low price,
then you can't go wrong with these tires. If you are part speed racer in the curves and take trips to the edge of your tires then look elsewhere.
Note: I live on Maui with so no winters. Roads here are either very smooth or really choppy and bad. I also take trips off road with lots of sharp ground lava rock with loose dirt. Which is why I'm looking at a set of continental Trail Attacks so if anyone has tried these then please giv some feed back.
