Getting Ready for a new Chain

Hey Everybody,

Getting close to putting on a new chain. OEM has just about gotten me to nearly 25K miles. Any suggestion for some else?better?

Thanks for you continuing support.

You'll probably get the BEST mileage out of whatever the stock chain is. My OEM KLR chain has 32,300 miles on it (on WD40), and I hope to get ANOTHER 8 TO 10,000 OUT OF IT!
You'll probably NOT exceed that with any other chain.
Cheers,
Ed

If you think 32,000 is GREAT, go to this site:
http://watt-man.xanga.com/
then scroll down to "the WD40 experiment".
Bill is an engineer (inventor of the 'Thermo-Bob' for you KLR guys) and VERY knowledgeable, and got 34,000 out of HIS original chain.

This is what I went with, which is similar to the OEM chain:

EK 520MVX-120 Red

You have to cut 6 links from the chain, though. You can get it in the 114 link only in the natural color, if you prefer.
