Here it is! 2009 Metallic Moondust Gray

Picked up my Versys this afternoon, after getting insurance papers, etc., etc.

Anyways was great to see 5 km on the tach when I picked it up, and even though the weather looked a bit iffy I took it on a great ride to Peggy's Cove, NS. The road is perfect for a first ride, with great asphalt and curves. Only problem is the slow cars in front of me, but I guess that doesn't matter that much anyway for the first 1000 km (600 mi). Now the bike has 100 km on it, perfect.

And a few pics

P.S. Farkles to come in a couple of weeks, hopefully.

Hey thanks

that's a GMax GM68S, in one of the solid colours. I've seen it as low as $Can 139 at one store. Plenty of cool designs too, it was helmet of the year on Web Bike World a year or so ago and it seems to fit my head better than the more expensive ones I tried. I'm sure I'll be getting another helmet sooner or later anyways so this will have to do for now.

Mine is red, but I think that the Moondust is my favorite

Steve

I bought a motorcycle because my wife said that I couldn't! Now I have two and she still says I can't have another one!

Oxman and sharrison56 how do you get the map with the provinces/states, I know I saw the thread/directions somewhere but can't find it at the moment. Thanks

Oh, and I'm guessing I know why that seat isn't comfortable. Hopefully I'll see what it is like on a longer ride on Sunday

VP7,

Got to like the Metallic Moondust Gray, It is one of those colours that are hard to keep clean (black wheels). But I still the colour. Enjoy your new ride.

Regards,

Dave

The gray is an awesome colour. I have the blue one since I am in the states. I love mine, it has a 1000 miles, and it will get a few thousand more.

Ditto on Contractor's comments and those clear signals really set it off. I bet a black tank protector would look killer! Fine bike dood

That's the first time i've seen that colour, it looks really awesome. I have the green version which looks pretty good but the grey pips it at the post i think.

P.S. The red and blue bikes just don't cut it for me, they look kinda weak.

Too bad the blue are faster than the green and the red are the fastest!!!

Very nice! The first time I saw a Versys, I thought to myself that the design was rather industrial. The silver (Moondust Gray) really shows it.

Enjoy!

Versys in silver was available in the European market from Jan 2007 up to Jan 2008. Nowadays, is back again with blacked parts. Either the first version or the last one, it looks really nice. Moreover it is a great bike. Although black is the preferred color by young bikers in the local market, silver (or gray) is awesome. Why not yet available in white?
