Two-up

Hi All - I am wondering how well this bike would do for 2 up touring in the US. if we went off road it would be a fire road to a campground

I'm sure that this is possible... just might not be recommended.

What are your thoughts?

Two up would depend on the size of the riders, my opinion is that I would not like to two up my wife on the versys for long distance rides and she is just under 60 kg's with height of 5'6 and im 82 kg's and height of 5'8.

It is of course possible to ride okay two up on versys but for a long trip around such a big country like yours there are better bikes and hate to say it but a cruiser may be a better option.

Yes - I figure I know the answer. but a GS1200 is out of the question

Me - i'm 6'3" and my wife is 5'7" I'm 225lbs (100 kg at least) and shes 120lbs - soaking wet

By the time I add gear - I have prolly exceeded the weight limits of the bike...

My time in the third world has taught me that you can ride with a family of 4 on a 50cc scooter.

The V-Strom 1000 is a pretty solid two-up adventure bike.
