trim piece behind rear brake master cylinder?

I just noticed today it looked like there might be a missing piece under my seat.

It may not be obvious in the photo, but the paint is worn on this steel frame bit behind the master cylinder and it looks like something used to fit there. I checked the parts fiche and didn't find anything though. Does this look right or am I missing something there?

2011 Versys 650.

Anybody willing to remove your seat and take a look. See if something is fitten into the space behind the rear brake master cylinder? Or if it looks like mine?

Thanks.

Yeah, without looking at mine yet, I think it's missing the plastic pin that holds front of plastic under body above rear tire... I replaced it with a bolt and nut with curved washer to fit underneath. You'll see it if you look up or feel the hole from underneath.

Thanks. I'll try to look again tomorrow. In the diagram that rivet goes through the hole to the left, but the empty hole in my pic (on the right) is empty in the diagram too.

I wonder how that short section of diagonal frame tube got scuffed on top if nothing used to fit there.

That hole is normal and left open after all, just like on mine... Maybe it's there for a battery drain tube, which we don't have.

Part of your plastic underbody/fender and part of the battery tray with the hole with said rivet are completely broken off and gone on your Versys. The sections with the rivet hole aren't even there anymore.
