It's hard to imagine how large of family that this clown comes from.
There's a large branch in the Chicago area.

I'm guessing you're getting some sort of combat pay, aren't you? That must be how you can afford to become and remain Farkle King!

My favorite is when people do this to me, I blast the horn, they swerve back, then we meet up at a stop light. It's worth noting that most people who do this to me are on the phone in some way. Anyway, they'll look at me and wave, smiling, as in to say "sorry", then immediately go back to the other important things they were doing. HAVE YOU NO SENSE OF DECENCY? All it would take is one second to think: "Ok, now why did I almost KILL the motorcyclist next to me? Maybe I'm distracted."

Oh yes, I recognize that. It was so bad in Tampa among the hoards of "senior citizens" (lovingly known as near deads) that I stopped riding to work for three years. And that was before cell phones when texting was yet to be discovered.

The local police would warn motorcyclists to avoid cars that appeared to be self-propelled (no driver visible) because it was most likely being driven by a tiny little old man or woman gazing through the steering wheel - who should have given up driving years ago.

I asked my commanding general for combat pay - or heat seeking missiles!

Unfortunately being distracted while driving is becoming the norm these days. That's why it's so important to ride like you're invisible. Have to get me one of those horns those, that things pretty sweet!

Someone almost got me the other night- pulled into a merge lane on my right and stopped, just as I got too close to stop they decided to merge right over me without looking! Lucky for me the guy on my left saw it too and moved over enough to give me a gap to blast through. There's all kinds of stupid out there, and some of it is lethal.

Going south on I25 today headed to Colorado Springs, got to the Briargate interchange riding in the fast lane, and had an idiot merging onto the highway try not once, but twice, to go from the on-ramp to my lane. I knew it was going to happen and had room to slow/accelerate/maneuver. First time she tried coming over I laid into the horn pretty good (Stebel clone mounted on passenger side of bike). Second time I laid into the horn for the entire length of time I was next to her. I think she got the message.

Both times you were passing on the right. You should always have your guard up (as you did) at those moments as in the US, we typically pass on the left. Not saying you were in the wrong, clearly they were. People can't see in the right mirror as easily as the left especially if they don't have fish-eyes to cover the blind spot.

If I pass up the right, I do it quickly and never hang out beside them.

Oh, and on a lighter note, I am assuming the left hand off the bar in the first incident was a thank you wave. Am I right?

I don't know how many times in the 5 years I have owned my Versys, that some ****head has pulled out in front of me from a side street off of Main St. Glastonbury, CT. I look behind me and there is NOBODY back there, but yet out they come. It just drives me nuts that they can be so ignorant. It is that important to be at work 3 seconds sooner? I know now why I don't carry a pistol.

You grew up in a great place!

Here's a pic of me on a trip last fall to Elliot Lake Ontario. Behind me is Lake Huron.
