Dallas Versys Owners Group Spring Meet & Greet

Well I hope this unpredictiable weather will hold long enough for our little group to get together for a Spring Meet. I plan on having it on April 11th and we'll meet at Soul Brother's BBQ for a buffet breakfast at 8 am.

Now here's my question on what to do afterward. Since this is a democracy and not a dictatorship I want to know what the group would like to do. Here are the options I have decided on. (Now I'm being a dicator!)

1. Riding to my house after breakfast for assistance in modifications to bikes. I have a pretty decent shop with a lift and a lot of room for those of you that have been wanting to do something to your bikes but not sure how. I'm sure between all of us we can help each other.

2. Going on a ride up to Bonham, TX and back. There is a really nice VFW up there on the lake and I'm a member so we could enjoy some grub and a cold one.

3. Do nothing after our Breakfast, throw rocks at one another, and go our seperate ways until next time.

Cut off for votes is Wednesday 8 April 2009 so everyone will know for sure as I will send out a notice on Thursday 9 April to everyone on our list and post it on the forum.

Ok, let me know what you think. Oh, if you don't have a Versys we'll forgive you and you can join us anyway on your mopeds! Love to have you.

Ok, Soulman 's is out by popular demand and I'm looking for a good breakfast place near Rockwall and I'll post it sometime tommorrow. I'll also send personal emails and updates to those on our list.

It looks like after breakfast we'll come over to my house in Royse City for those that need to do a little wrenching and then maybe go for a ride. There's a nice ride up to bonham up for grabs. Some of you that don't want or need to wrench can just take off on a ride if you want to.

More tommorrow.

Ok, The meeting place for the Saturday 4/11/09 at 8:15 is going to be at the IHOP in Rockwall on the NE corner of I-30 and Ridge Road. From there, anyone wanting (or needing) to do some wrenching can come to my house and those that just want to go ride can do just that. If we have time after wrenching, us'ens will go for a ride. I know a nice little route up to Bonham. Everyone is welcome and ride whatever you want.

Here's a map.

I would love to come but it would be quite a trip to make it there from Wichita Falls. Good luck on the wrenching and have fun on the ride.

2013 Vulcan Classic LT but may be going back in the fold..

Yeah, quite a ride. You'd have to leave by midnight the day before! Thanks for your interest and maybe we'll see you on the road someday. Ride safe

?????
Have they moved the speed limits down to 10 mph up there? Near as I can recall, it's only about a 2 hour trip.
Doesn't look like I'll be able to make it, maybe I'll catch up to you on a future pie run.

Sometimes I think the speed limit is that slow when I get into the Dallas Traffic! Maybe we'll see you next time.

Ok, one quick reminder of our Meet & Greet tommorrow at 8:15 or so at IHOP in Rockwall. If you plan on doing some "wrenching" afterwards, be sure and bring whatever parts you need. Hope to see you there.
