Wire wheel availability?

Been lurking here a bit and wondered if any company has stepped up with a wire wheel package for the Versys that would allow it to blast down gravel roads without having to be concerned about damage.

After 7 years and 52000 miles on a CBR1100XX, I am getting a bit weary of the heavy roadburner and I am considering a lighter weight more fun to ride bike I can throw around.

Ugh, 5 years on my VFR did me in, too.
I know of no one making a wire wheel for the Versys, but the inherent limits of the machine as far a serious off road capabilities probably makes the wire wheels unnecessary. Not that is would look really good with them!

Seems like there is some interest in this thread, 86 people have looked at it since my initial post. Maybe some heavy duty flat track wheels instead?

I don't know of any off-the-shelf kits, but I'm sure Woddy can set you up with the wheels of your choice. But, unless you are planning to tackle rock fields or really want the option of a 19" front, the stock wheels seem robust enough for gravel roads.
