1L of Amsoil = $20.!!

I'm thinking of switching back to dyno, or a blend anyways. Amsoil has upped their prices at the local Canadian tire to $20. for a liter of 10W50! Mobil1 is $17. I bought some amsoil 6 months ago for $12 per L. What gives?

I think I need a raise...

You mean 10W40 or 20W50? Amsoil doesn't have a 10W50... I use Amsoil's Formula 4-StrokeŽ PowerSports 0W-40 (AFF) JASO MA synthetic oil, and get it through http://www.woodsbrosracing.com/amsoil-online-store.htm for about 21% off USA's $9.60 MSRP, plus a small shipping charge by entering the secret promo code. It's shipped to my door in a couple days from Canadian warehouse, and I pay NO taxes. I end up paying a total of about $13 per quart for a case of 12 with the actual weak Cdn $. (10W40 motorcycle oil 'MCF' would come up to ~$14 Cdn total) Formula 4-StrokeŽ PowerSports synthetic 0W-40's viscosity is actually a bit higher than the 10W-40 (MCF) at operating temperature, and flows more readily upon cold starts.

I could also get 10% off Elf's semi-synthetic PAO based Moto 4 HP ECO 10W40 1 liter $9.99 Cdn (or $37.99 for 4 liter bottle), or Motul's semi-synthetic ester based 5100 Ester 4T 10W40 (specs) or 10W50 1 liter ~$13 Cdn (or $50 for 4 liter bottle), plus taxes from Motovan or Parts Canada at local Yamaha dealer.

Sounds good. I did mean 10W40.

Let me know if you want that promo code for Woods Brothers Racing Amsoil dealer... You can then enter it, your province or state, and email for an instant quote.

I just checked with my motorcycle dealer, and Elf's (France) synthetic and semi-synthetic oils are still at Motovan's 2008 listed prices... Elf Moto 4 Pro Tech 5W40 PAO-based synthetic (like Amsoil) is $12.99 Cdn + taxes, Moto 4 HP ECO semi-synthetic for $9.99/liter, or $37.99/4 liter bottle. I also get 10% off from my friendly Yamaha dealer, just because I asked for it.
