Camping gear arrangement

Few months ago I found a waterproof duffel bag on wheels on sale and I bought it. I wanted a way to put all my camping gear in one container, be able to lock it and not have it get wet.

I added eye bolts to the hard bottom to run my lock coils thru and rested it my seat upside down. Took it out for a test ride today and it did well.

Tomorrow around noon I leave for a trip up north and to save money, I'm camping along the way.

It's a bit "over the top", but it does what I was wanting.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Wow, and I thought my wife and I looked like the beverly hillbillies on bikes last summer. Near as I can tell it looks like you have soft saddlebags squeezed inboard of the hard bags, plus another bag or two in front of that. Then you top it off with the big suitcase. Now I know why Kawasaki put a stiff spring back there. Do you also have luggage to carry stuff up front?
Let me know how the thing rides. I bought mine for touring so it'll be nice to know if I can similarly load it.

Back Off! I'm Already Riding Way Beyond My Abilities.

Wow! And people say the V is to small for touring. How did it ride with all that stuff on board?

Real quick, it worked out great. Hit very heavy rains, a lot of stop and go traffic, very strong winds, and actually hit some sunny weather too, but the bag did its job in the 16 hours of riding up here.

Got a decent amount of comments about how huge the bag was when I made pit stops along the way.

It's a great way to carrying all your camping gear, keeping dry and locked up. Couldn't do without it and have peace of mind.
