Cold start trouble.

Anyone have trouble with cold starting? My 2012 Versys seems to have trouble idleing at first. It fires right off but seems to be a lag between fire and going to a high idle/choke and it will die. I often have to start it two or three times to get it to get to higher idle. Not sure if I am painting a good enough picture of whats going on but thats my attempt. The idle does seem to be set fine because when its warm or running normally it sounds and runs fine. Also, sometimes has a quick miss sometimes. Not sure whats going on and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My 2009 was like that untill Invader told me to make sure the idle was st at 1300rpm. Mine was at 1000rpm.Set to 13 and it fires right up.

Should be warmed up. Go a for a little ride, get everything nice and toasty, then adjust the idle with the gear in neutral.

Yes, set normal warmed up idle speed to 1300 rpm.

How many miles on your Versys and on your spark plugs?
