I just wanted to share with everyone the job that William "Mountainrider" did re-painting one of my saddlebag inserts. The bike tipped over in a parking lot and the leading end had enough scratches and scuffs to merit a re-paint.
Mountainrider did an impeccable job. No drips, bubbles, or smears. What is more impressive is that he got the original paint off. I know that the local painter who did the first job had a tough time with the paint not fully drying and can only imagine how much work it was to get the old paint off.
If you need any paint work done, I can heartily recommend Mountainrider. Very reasonable prices, very fast turnaround, and more important, very good work!
1. I don't know. Try messaging him.
2. So did I. And many others. You have to buy the inserts separately, and they come in black only—unless Kawasaki changed available colors for 2009. It really ticked-off many of us who bought what we thought were red inserts, only to find that Kawasaki changed their mind after many folks had already bought their inserts. Such are the vicissitudes of bike parts.
