Easter Sunday, 1943

Believe it or not - 70 years ago today was Easter Sunday, the LATEST day in the year that it can ever come on. Don't know WHEN it will come on the 25th April again.

That's interesting.

Someone posted on my daughter's Facebook (yes, I check it regularly) that next month has 5 Wednesdays, 5 Thursdays, and 5 Fridays -- supposedly the only time that will happen for 580 years! Um, sure, except for when it happens again in January 2014, and then the following October, and then in December 2015...

Eddie was born on Easter Sunday of April 25th in 1886... He is now 127 years old.

By the way, Japan's Jiroemon Kimura the oldest man ever and still alive, turned 116 on April 19th... Now in 8th place and still going up the scale against oldest women ever, all were born between 1875 and 1897.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldest_people

Still in great shape, he hasn't stopped riding his Kawasaki yet.

Perhaps that is the same day that WD-40 was invented???

WD-40 stands for water displacement 40th attempt. That's the name straight out of the lab book used by the chemist who helped develop WD-40 back in 1953. Norm Larsen, was attempting to concoct a formula to prevent corrosion, a task which is done by displacing water. Norm's persistence paid off when he perfected the formula for WD-40 on his 40th try.

He died in December 1970 at the age of 47, never realizing his dream of creating a product better than WD-40 for worldwide distribution. He did create a product called Free N' Kleen which actually was better than WD-40 or CRC[citation needed] , but a few years after his death the company went out of business, and the formula was lost.

It makes you wonder if there's a superior light (5 cps) lubricant/anti-seize penetrant/cleaner... It turns out there is. Your run-of-the-mill WD-40 is easily outperformed by TSI 301 high performance compound with its synthetic organic ester chemical composition.

invader,

Thanks for the information about Norm Larsen. I knew that WD-40 was a San Diego based company, but I did not know why. I had no idea that it was linked to Atlas rockets. I used to work for Convair who made the Atlas. Now things make a bit more sense.
