Green or Blue

For US buyers (as these are our 2009 choices); which do you prefer? Candy Lime Green or Candy Plasma Blue? I am torn between the two. I wish they had gone standard lime instead of the candy version. The blue with silver seems a nice combo though, I especially like the silver wheels. Almost all sport bikes have black rims.

I wish they had blue with black frame and trim... That green is pretty special though and I would go for it.

I like the blacked out frame & trim on the green bike, but not the green. If it were me, I'd get the blue. Very nice color & looks great with the silver.

Go green. It looks so much better in person than in the pictures, too.

I bought the first one on the floor and it was blue. Wouldn't have bought the green.

I'll probably get the blue, but the green does look good in person. What I don't like about it is the mishmash of black and silver parts... should've stuck to wholly black.

Blue

It is a shame that we did not get the blue with the black trims...

The only thing that makes the green bike attractive is the contrast with the black.

The plasma blue always look good on any bike but that whole gray trim is killing it on this case...

I am very torn here because my favorite colors are always Candy colors, either Candy red or Candy blue, but because of the black trims I might have to settle for a color that I am just not too much of a fan of, GREEN...

You also have to take in consideration how colors aged...

No matter how old the vehicle is, candy colors always look good...

On the other hand pale colors start too look very depressing after the NEW bike feel goes away and all you end up with is a high millage vehicle with a very pale color... Right now that green is looking very nice, but would it still feel the same 2yrs from now....

If there would had been the Plasma blue with the black trims, there would NOT be such thread at this point... But then the Green bikes would hardly sale so I guess they are trying to balance the sales among the two colors by degrading the magic blue with a lame silver trim and encouraging the odd green by matching it with the super attractive black trim...

It is all a game of sales... It is all about pushing the sale...

I went with the green because of the black frame and wheels. I hate hate HATE dirty, brake-dusted silver wheels. My little Ninja was the candy plasma blue, though, and it's a gorgeous color. I would've gone blue if it hadn't been for all the silver stuff.

What little ninja did you have, a 250cc or 500cc ?

For some reason I am in love with the 500cc Ninja, I just like that bike, I think it has a time less design and that new plasma blue with the black engine makes it look real good...

I just know that I would proabably regret it if I get one due to being a little under power, but I think it would make the perfect commuter for me, little economical fun light weight bike, big enough gas tank to run a full week with one tank, I just think the Ninja 500R is so perfect...

I wonder if that is what you had what do you think of it ?

Why did you switch...

I felt that way when I got the 250R. However, Candy Lime Green does not quite do it for me. I don't hate it but am not really loving either of the new colors.

I have the 250R, and I really love it, except that it just isn't comfortable enough. After an hour or so my neck and shoulders are killing me, so I'm moving on up to the V. I'm hoping to pick up the V next month, if the weather here in MN cooperates long enough, and then sell the Ninja.

That is my main reason for looking at the Versys. I find the Ninja too uncomfortable as well. I added a Corbin seat and that helps but still I get lower back and neck issues as well as knee aches. I am 6'1" and think the V will fit me better.
