Not Fair

Why did the new green bike has black frame but the blue has that hideous bright silver everywhere ?

How cool would that plasma blue look with a black frame as well...

Just not fair...

Highly unlikely, as the labeled production date and serial number would attest to. Their version has an O2 sensor in the muffler... I also like the metallic black frame that came with my burnt orange V, but I don't have black wheels like the green one.

I wish the green one had a black bellypan instead of silver.

I was meaning if the Versys & ER6 isn't selling as quickly as originally expected its possible they have a forward commitment for parts finished to a specific standard. So there may well be 2009 models out there but using parts from 2008 range.

or is it just because American luuuuurve chrome?

the black trim does look the dog' dangly bits though......

>>> Might even rhino line the frame.

What do you mean my Rhino Line the frame ?

I love the plasma Blue in any bike, and I already have a plasma blue helmet, but I think I am leaning toward the green if I end up with a versys.

I did visited a near by dealer today, about 58mi away and again, they had a Vstrom but not Versys. Versys are really hard to find, no dealer in this area have any in stock.

Now, sitting on the VStrom was nice, both feet down I am on my toes, but if I lean one foot then I can flat foot that leg on the ground. The new 2009 orange color looks weird on the website, but it looks really nice in person.

I really like the Vstrom it is a bulky bike with very skinny tires.

I think that is why I am more visual attracted to the Versys, it is more sporty looking and more compact. The tires are smaller but fat and looks like it has a short frame in comparison.

I wish I would find a dealer that had both in stock because I think one of the two is what I am getting.

Oh well, wasted trip today.

How many pounds of armor would a coating of Rhino liner add to your ride?

I'd love to have an all green and black bike. If any one wants to trade my silver lower for your black lower, let me know. We'll each pay for our own shipping and end up with a very unique Vs.

I don't think you'll really notice while you're riding.

I resemble that remark, except it is a Coors Light.

Sitting at 31F here in Montana. We are supposed to go to 55 on Sunday - good enough to put a couple more miles on the new V. Maybe I'll hit 50. I only have 22 to go.

Minus 30 F up here in the great whilte north... Back out in 2.5 months. I can't wait to see how she'll sound with smoothed and matched TB flanges + exhaust port outlets, custom Muzzy/Magnaflow/Yoshimura exhaust, along with my airbox and ignition mods, and with new tires and final drive. Maybe a few titanium bolt$ I'm looking into now...
