Whether good or bad...

...I'm out!

The Versys was a great bike when riding. It served me well for the year and a half I owned it. But whether it's that I'm a whining little ____ or not, I just couldn't get over the "issues" regarding MY PARTICULAR Versys!

On a whim I went down to where I bought my Versys. And then this happened!

Talked to many of the employees on the Z650, CB650F, Yamaha Tracer, and the Suzuki SV650. They all said they would get the Honda. So...I did!

Goodbye Versys!

My sales guy at Tampa Bay Powersports walked me to the back, found a crated 2018, ripped it open.

I told him to show me some numbers. As always with him it was a one-shot deal I couldn't resist!

Just after prep:

And then mounting up for the ride home:

A 25 mile trip home, dodging small raindrops, but she handles really nice! A lot different from the Versys but the throttle response is a little tighter on the Honda. It will take me some time to get used to the different seating position but I know there'll be modifications coming.

Bottom line...I am happy that I'm back on a Honda again! NOT knocking the Versys...it's an amazing machine and covers all the bases. Just wasn't for me.

So, I thank everyone for their guidance and help during the course of my Versys ownership. Y'all ride safe and enjoy the miles!

Congrats. I could see myself really enjoying that bike, too.

Even just looking at those exhaust pipes is fun.

Whitehorse Press is going out of business so it's time for a final sale. Signed copies of my book are now $10 with free shipping in the U.S. while they last.

Every Honda I ever owned was the best bike I ever had. Except for every other one.

Iíve owned a Cb500f & with 1Ē riser & 19Ē windscreen it was good for Touring. My Kawasaki Z900 is only comfortable for 100 miles with its riding position. Thatís WHY I bought the 2019 Versys 650 LT . Naked bikes are fun just not great for longer trips.I do think you will like the CB650F. If I could of got one at the time I would of got it instead of my Z900. Truly I think the Versys 650 is the Bike for all my needs.
