What is the mileage (kilometrage) you get with your Versys ?

I keep an eye in the mileage I get on my Versys.
I drive from my house, in the suburbs of Philly to downtown Philly.
Mix of road and street.
I do get some traffic, but I split the lane.
Still...
I got various mileage, but the last one surprised me... 60.7 mile/US gallon or 25.7 km/l.
Not bad!
I ride mostly between 5 and 6 thousand rpm.
I haven't been able to go for a longer trip (planed for a Friday with good weather) to check what will it do on a road trip. However, this is comfortably more than 300 miles per tank (>330 actually) and more that 500 km ( ~540 km).
This is impressive.
Certainly if drive outside the "econo" range, it is a different story.

I filled my '15 V650 about a week ago, and got about 28.1km/L, or 79.3 mpgImp (63.44 mpgUS), after riding along the 'twisties' along Lake Okanagan,

and today I got 25km/L, or 70.5 mpgImp (56.42 mpgUS) from more 'general' riding including some highway.

with the gas mix we get here in the bay area (N. Calif) I've averaged 45.8 mpg since early Feb. I usually fill up w/91 octane.

Just to through a little confusion into the mix...

My V1k has been averaging 38 mpg through the winter in the California central valley. Since the temp started coming up, it's been getting better. Some of it is due to my heavy throttle hand, though.

26-27 miles per gallon in the city, 44 miles per gallon on highways. I'm not petite, and I also ride pretty hard.

FWIW, I use 89 octane in mild SF weather. For those who think that using higher octane will improve their fuel efficiency, that's been consistently proven untrue. Using 91 octane on our bikes is just wasting money.

Best I have seen is 66mpg

Worst was 49mpg.

Winter average is 51

Summer average is 55

2015 V-650.

Those are mileage figures that would make a Pre-historic car proud. You know Pre-Us (Before humans)

2015 with aftermarket 3-case set-up and larger windscreen; 175 pound rider. Ridden year-round. Highest observed was 57.6, but I typically see around 45 MPG (US), which doesn't seem to change much whether I'm commuting or hitting the twisties. I've seen some upper 40s/low 50s depending upon how many highway miles are thrown in the mix. I imagine it would get around 55 on a highway-only tank of fuel. I've never done a hand calculation, so this is only as accurate as the bike's read-out. I recently had the ECU reprogrammed by Shoodaben Engineering/Steve, which I don't *believe* has altered the MPG significantly one way or the other, but more miles and different conditions are needed to determine that.

I've started watching this as the weather gets warmer and I'm riding more often. The last several tanks I've gotten between 45.2 - 45.7 MPG. That's with Non-Ethanol 89 or 91 Octane (I haven't noticed a pattern of better or worse with either and am going more with 89 Octane due to that). I'm riding a 2009 model...

Almost the exact same thing for me................same bike, same results.
