The dumbest things cause noise....

Today while riding at low speed I kept hearing a squeak/rattle over any bump.
Not crazy loud where I am going to worry about it, but Im going to check everything out to make sure nothing is falling off.

Pull over go through the bike for obvious stuff. Nada.

Then I remember I changed the battery in the garage door remote last night. The key ring was rubbing on the windshield when I hit a bump..... It was so loud I honestly thought one of the panels was loose. Put it back so the cord is holding the ring tight and sound gone.

Jeeze.

Been there, done that. Thank goodness you did not take it to a shop to complain about the noise. And good for you for stopping out on the road to check it out in case it was something serious.

I worked as a driveability tech at a Chevy dealership... I could tell you stories for days about weird noise complaints.

Had a rattle that drove me nuts on my 09 V. Found that it was the bottom of the license plate vibrating on the license plate holder. Put in 2 bottom reflective holders and solved the problem....
