Versys Rear Spring Color?

I keep seeing pictures of 650's with various colors of rear springs. Does the color of the rear spring have any significance or are the springs just thrown on at the assembler's whim?

Randy

Mine is red (2018) and I "believe" it's just to complement the other colors of the bike. I also have red wheel trim and red fork caps, along with some red "swishes" throughout the black paint scheme. They all came stock.

My 2016 LT came with a green spring so I added green wheel stripes and green stripes on my factory hard bags.

This complementary/contrasting colors scheme seems to be valid. My 2015 is the green model and the spring is black. Had a black 2012 Ninja that had a red spring. That thing popped a bit against the black. I like the idea of the dominant color on the fork caps, etc. Not enough to invest money to replace the stock parts though.
