God help me!

I glanced at Sierra's transformer front end this morning and I was actually not repulsed. I am not about to say that it's not butt-ugly. All's I can say is, apparently, you can just about get used to anything. After all, back in the day when she curled my toes, the old lady looked nothing like she does now; yet I sat across the table from her old wrinkly face just this morning. Is the day coming when my tastes become so tainted that I will think Sierra's front end attractive?

As the young Gorbachev used to say: "It's growing on me."

Unmitigated risk aversion is the new Puritanism; complete with witch hunts funny outfits and humorless preachers thundering doom. The Deity is Safety; Satan is a Lawyer; but the object is the same: to suck the life out of life and tell you how to live it.

Not Looks '/ Performance / Handling

I had a 07, now a 15, both front ends, since I bought it to ride, 95% of the time while riding the Versys I have a smile on my face, never bought it to look at, I am at a point when I am asked what it is, I don't want to sound too positive to those interested, it may cause a surge in buying the Versys, and that could drive the price up

I like the look of the gen 2 and 3 Vís, I think the gen 3ís look sporty for sure but never thought they crossed that line into Transformity.

You want Transformer, check out the front end on the Yamaha MT-10 haha. It pretty much screams Decepticon haha.

The best part about riding my V650, I don't have to look at the front end haha, the light works just fine, even if it might be the fugliest nose to ever grace a motorcycle.

I've read that the Gen 1 and 2 looks were considered by some as polarizing. Forum threads tend to bear this out. I personally much prefer the Gen 3 nose. Perhaps it's just as polarizing? I don't care for the headlight arrangement on the earlier bikes. Personal opinion, but I'm really glad the design was changed to the bug eyes look. I can't help but see the big cockroach from Men In Black in the face of my V, but I like it. I do feel bad for the lovers of the old design since they can't get new ones that look the old way.

Gen 2 front for the win. Gen 3.1 set up for the win. Can't have them all.

Just because I am Deaf does not mean I can not roar.

I'm only slightly ashamed to admit a big reason I wasn't that in to the Gen 2 was the face, despite it being widely known as an amazing all-rounder bike. As soon as I seen the 2015 face lift, I was in love.

Now that I own it and know what it's like to ride, I find myself totally liking the Gen I/II face. Personality can easily change a 6 to an 8

I have BOTH a Gen 1 and a Gen 3. The headlight on my '08 is WAY-Y-Y better coverage than the one on my '15!

Looks? Who cares....

in my hometown of Spenard, a "10" is a "4" with a sixpack......

if I'm answering your question I assume the basic points have been addressed, such as: did you do a compression test? is it still on fire?

In motorcycling terms, 4 (cylinders) with a sixpack = 10 (months in the ICU).

The 3rd Gen Angry Ant....grown to love it.Practical layout too.I was stopped at a light with a Death Rider Harley guy across the light, looking at me.He tilted his head sideways, grimaced while trying to make sense of it.I knew then that Kawi was onto something!

I have a Gen 1, and have always liked the look. It has a unique look that stands out from the crowd.

That's because they took the light off a Santa Fe Locomotive!!! Lol.

Surface beauty is only skin deep. True beauty is found when one is in the saddle with a hard twist on the wick.

Haven't ridden too often at night, but always tought that the coverage/intensity were fantastic

Cannot compare, I can afford ONLY one bike ( Fast Eddy) but now, you are validating what I taught
