Cycle World Magazine puts on several events each year. This one called the annual High Pipe has been held at China Peak Ski Resort for the last 3 years. It's about an hour and a half ride from my house. I rode up there yesterday to check it out. Saw all kinds of bikes on display. Did a couple of demo rides and of course got to see the Hooligan Hill Climb event.
Began the day with a test ride on these two beauties. Ducati 1100 scrambler and the all new 2018 Honda Africa Twin. Read that Afri-ker for those in the N/E...Lol.
After the rides I checked out the vintage bikes. A primo 500 interceptor. Honda 350 and the one I voted best of the show, a near showroom condition Yamaha Big Bear. These bikes really take one back in time.
The morfidite of the show. Early 2000's Kawi ZX6. He ran it in the Hooligan Hill Climb.
A couple of pro hill climbers.
Line up for the hill climb. As you can see bikes of just about every category.
Couple if vids of the start of the hooligan hill climb, that is if they vids actually will post.
Overall fun day with a real variety of bikes to ride and see. Not bad for a $15 entrance fee.
