WHAT year is it?

If it's a Gen 3 (2015 onward) - put your key into the 'slot', turn it CW 90 degrees, then pull UP on that piece (about 3" back from the key-slot), then hold the handle of the bag while sliding the bag towards the rear (about 1.5"). Then you should be able to remove the bag (key WON'T come out until you turn it BACK CCW 90 degrees).

Its a Versy 650...2017. LT model. It comes with the standard side bags. I found a slot for the keys under the seat, left side...I tried to turn key 90 degres, and slide tha bags and no luck. Im new on motorcycles and ive Not receive any manual docs with my versys.

And here's a pic: the key is shown w/ an arrow, while the piece you PULL UP on is in 'parentheses'. (Buffalo_Bob's pic wasn't visible when I did mine.)

I think the key slot you're trying is the one you'd need to remove the seat. As others have noted, the key slot you need is located toward the front of each bag. Turn that key, lift the latch just behind the key and pull backward.

At about 5:19, this video shows exactly how to do it. The 2015 model shown in the video will work just like your 2017.
