27 mm pin for triple tree stand

Greetings Riders!

I am thinking of going with the Venom front Triple tree stand. I have a Pit Bull for the rear, use it all the time, and feel it was a good buy for me.

For my 2016 650LT I understand I need a 27mm pin for the front support.

The Venom stand does not list a 27 mm pin coming with the stand. And by the way, why oh why did Kawasaki fit such a huge hole for the triple tree??? Yikes!

So, where can I get one?

Always the details......

Thanks so much for your input.

BEST,
ANDY

Most places I've seen to order them have a comment area that you can leave your bike info on. If not just give them a call to order so you can make sure you receive the right size.

I dont know anything about triple tree stands, but know venom does make a 27mm pin. This listing on amazon comes with 5 pins including the 27mm But its for a CBR1000.

You need fitment kit #2 for Venom. There is more than one make and model of bike that use a 27mm pin.

eg. https://www.kapscomoto.com/ca/headli...ift-stand.html

You also need two scrap 2x4s to put on either side of the front wheel to place the stand on. Otherwise you will not get enough height to lift the front wheel. Suggest looking for a height adjustable stand as the Versys tall suspension needs extra lift height. I have the Venom but it requires lifting blocks like 2x4s placed under it to work.

The T-Rex stand works fine on my '15 V650 without using any 2x4 blocks to raise it. The price is not cheap but the stand is well built.

I know there has been much discussion about the lack of adjustment with the venom, this isn't a case of me being cheap, I have a hydraulic lift that cost $450 Canadian, the T Rex is about half the hydraulic lift, the venom is about 1/4 the cost of the lift, I have a hard time justifying paying a extra $125 for something I use once a year, when the venom works perfectly fine with my Speedy lowered 2015, also the height of the rear stand does have a bearing on the amount of lift required on the front . Again, your bike your money your choice.

raising of front shocks

clearance at front

1 1/4 clearance under front tire

Try a TRex stand (I have TWO sets, in BC and in AZ: front, rear, triple-tree).

Agreed, and here's a pic of my '15 on a TRex front (pic was BEFORE I replaced the H-F rear one).
