Flew Away

Well crud, my V has flown the coup. Some one has taken it away from me
On Saturday I went out side to do some work on it , and dang.. its parking spot was empty.
I guess that my 09 green V was just to tempting and some one really wonted it , bad enough to
take it away from me
I will see how much the insurance company will pay me for it , then I will decide
on if to replace it or pocket the money and put new parts on my car or both
There is no Smillies with a grey cloud hanging over them

P.S. I have been looking at GPS trackers for bikes
and there are some good ones out there,, any thoughts on these trackers would be appreciated

That stinks. Good luck dealing with your insurance company, I hope it works out in your favor.

i know the pain of a stolen bike just be glad it was insured mine wasnt but a few years later i got it back (was crashed 40' in some brambles on the side of the freeway.... i think they crashed it the night it was stolen.... and honestly it looked just fine... was a bit sun baked but after a fluid change and battery acid change it was good as new and what i traded for my versys.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune I just cant imagine someone stealing right in front of ya. I had a Kawasaki Mule stolen about 4 years ago right out of the yard and I was mowing 500 yards away down a hill. I wouldn't have the guts, but the insurance paid good and within 3 weeks so it worked out. Hope your back on the road soon.

I am going to start a thread, I have been told by police that if a thief wants a bike bad enough, they will get it, a alarm may work, however knowing where the bike is, solves 2 problems, it catches the thief and also gets your bike back . With all the modifications on my bike, the insurance would never cover the parts and labour I have invested.

Sorry to hear this happened. I know I'd be fuming mad if mine was gone.

Quick question - did you have the bike locked at the bars? Or any other way?

Mine is always in the garage when I am at home.

I always worry when over nighting at a hotel and it sits in the parking lot.

Always breath a sigh of relief in the morning when my eyes see it still there.

I hate thieves. Bunch of low lives.

Would have been great if you could have had 220 volts hooked up to her. Might have looked like this:

2015 V-650 of course it's green...it's a Kazawalski.

Devilsfan,, Yes I always lock the bars, and it was parked beside my front porch and storage shed just under my living room window
As the police told me chains and extra locks do not help they will just cut and carry it away
Now I am looking at a security cam and dvr and something for the bike if I replace it
