What have you done on yours so far?

I changed tires once, plugs once, oil and filter every 3k miles.

Recently had a problem where the bike would not start, took it to the dealer where i bought it from, The bike was still on warranty so they replaced the fuel pump but turns out it was not the problem, then they replaced the ECU but the problem remained. After 2 weeks they finally figured it out, the ignition switch had corrosion in it so all they did was cleaning and lubing it.

I bought it last year with 11k miles on it. It's been very reliable so far.

New set of tires, MRA touring windscreen, Nitron Shock, Changed plugs and air filter. Checked valve clearance and disconnected AIS system.

Great thread! As I am new to the Versys world I'd be interested in knowing if anyone's gone WAY over the 100K mark.

(On the V-strom forum there's a guy who has a first-year V-strom and he just passed 430,000!!! He said it's "showing it's age" with some minor leaks but still rides it! I add this because before I bought my Versys I was going for the V-strom. Let's see how they compare.)

My 2009, bought new as a leftover in 2010, currently sits at 80,413 miles. So it has been around, but I'm sure someone here has that mileage beat.

The only time it let me down was the usual stator failure that left me stuck on the highway. Other than that, it has just required normal maintenance. Here's a full report at the halfway mark of four years. It's been an inexpensive bike to own, operate and insure, and is especially easy on tires. I even put 25,000 miles on one front tire!

Whitehorse Press is going out of business so it's time for a final sale. Signed copies of my book are now $10 with free shipping in the U.S. while they last.

It would be helpful if people would also list what they have had to do maintenance wise that was beyound the scope of just regular maintenace like oil and tire changes. For instance bearing replacements, rotor replacements, engine work, etc..

2010 model 27,000km / 16200 miles
1st recent valve adjust (needed), 1st chain replacement (sprockets were OK), 1st fork oil change, 1st coolant change (visibly slightly darker than new coolant)

My '15 now has 35,xxx miles on it. I bought it used about 15 months ago with 11,xxx miles on it. A good guess would be 50-60% mountain riding so tires do not last very long. Zoom zoom.

I had one brake disc in front replaced under extended warranty at about 34k miles. I think maybe the tire shop I USED TO USE was responsible for that. It started out as minor pulsing after they mounted up a tire and got progressively worse.

Otherwise, just the normal stuff.

I fully expect to get well past 100k miles while still under warranty, then we'll see about more.

I put 234,xxx miles on a '99 c-10 Connie and it still performed very well when I sold it to someone that I know and he knew the bike and how it was maintained. It now has almost a quarter million miles on it. That bike never left me stranded on the side of the road.

Not me but one of our members on Versys.co.uk in Nova Scotia, Canada is now up to ~230,000 km (143,000 miles) and still going strong with no faults.

Clock says ~215,000 km but bike has been run on a 16t front sprocket for 99% of its life

And some of the roads more than once.

Probably touring a bunch of Cali and a bunch of the west this year plus my regular month of September ride about.

My 07 had 32,000k on it, valves, plugs and airfilter done at 30k. Chain and sprockets replaced at 28k. Other than that it has not missed a beat. Mainly user this for commuting.
