Free Tire from the kind Folks at Dunlop

A few of you may remember me getting a cut in my (brand new) front tire after only a couple hundred miles after purchasing my new 2015 650 (from my intro post). Anyway I called the Dunlop recall hotline, left a message and was promptly called back to resolve the matter. I sent photos and after the engineers reviewed it of course it was not a recall issue but they sent me a free replacement anyway! Whatever your opinion of their tires at least the customer service is great. Never hurts to ask. They didn't have the OEM on hand so they sent me the Roadsmart 3. I was just asked to drill holes in the side walls of the old one and send them a photo to prove the old tire was out of service. Done!

I had a Dunlop D401 tire on the front of our Harley that had 10,xxx miles on it - and Dunlop replaced it for free - due to excessive runout.
.... just last month.

It was "hey, am I doing something wrong with tire pressure, because this seems odd" and they said "oh sorry, let us send you a new tire"

OK

No matter where you go - there you are.

Wow! That's good to know they would even replace one with that many miles.
