Question Better bike?

Ok, I was wondering about changing the V650 2008 with 20k miles for a V-strom 1000 with 41k miles.
I actually use the bike to go to work and not too much else.
I'm a 6"02' so I'm kind tall and the V feel a little tight on the legs.

I would like to do some trips with my girl but maybe more than 1 hour on the V could kill her jaja as I feel is not big enough for two person.

I paid for the Versys 2500$US and is basically stock.

The V-strom come with the 2 sidebag and the top one too and also crashbars for 2.999$US

What do you think of Susuki?

You can lower your footpegs, which helps a LOT! Motowerk ones lower about 1.3" as I recall.

MY passenger weighs about 130# w/ riding gear (ATGATT) on, and LOVES riding two-up on my 650s. We've ridden dirt, as well as fairly long one-day rides.

When I 'tested' V-Stroms, my feeling was that, compared to the Versys they feel ponderous. I believe that their wheel base is about 6" longer, so definitely NOT as nimble.

I'm 6'3"/36" inseam so I'd get peg-control lowering kits for either bike. The Stroms do have about a 5" longer wheelbase, so they might have a bit more stretch area for a passenger. I'm also thinking the longer wheelbase might give a bit more stability on the open road? How long is your commute??

Sounds like a two-up test ride is in order to get a 2nd opinion
