90 degree valve stem help

Coming back to Nashville from a weekend trip to Barbers Motorsports park in Birmingham I hit something small and sharp on the highway. After hearing the load POP! I immediately pulled over to find a good size chunk of rubber missing from my rear tire which sucks since I only have 2500 mile on these. This happened with only 20 miles left on a 500 mile trip so I made it home thankfully but the tire is toast. I can see the metal cord in the missing chunk.

I will replace the tire myself and I would like to replace the stock stem with a 90 degree. I'm seeing different sizes? Can anyone recommend size and supplier? No-Mar has a selection but not sure of size since this bike is new to me. https://www.nomartirechanger.com/category_s/34.htm

You want the 11.3mm. The last 2 bikes i got mine from Kurvygurl for over $20.00 a pair. I have a pair i ordered off of ebay for less than $3.00 a pair waiting for a new set of tires to go with them....2 x Black CNC Aluminum Motorcycle 90° 11.3mm Wheel Tire Stem Tubeless Valve | eBay

I was about to chime in that the 11.3mm are the ones you need,

I will add a cautionary note: I've seen all sorts of prices, from scare-you cheap to scare-you expensive. I bought cheapies, returned them and bought more $$$ ones.

Conclusion: I'd opt for more expensive ones, the cheapies are just that, unless you like to gamble.

I put the 90 degree valves I bought from a Honda store, that they said were for a Gold Wing, but I'm thinking of getting some from Ebay as they're smaller, and neater looking.

My Street Triple has the 90 degree valve stems stock. After experiencing those, I'm not sure why every manufacturer doesn't use them. I guess the extra dollar or two a unit is too much to bear.

Bought the cheapy ones from EBay. They took a month to arrive but work just fine. They are CNC aluminum. I've been using them for a number of months with no issues. If you store your bike outdoors though most cheapy stuff will corrode or rust but no corrosion so far with these.

The best option for 90 deg valves are like these low profile ones on my Versys.

NOTE: install the valves pointing to the right!
You will thank me on your 1st air up

I bought a set from Moto-D Racing that seem made to last forever for $25. Valve stems are not terribly complicated devices, so the cheapies from China would probably work just as well. With what I paid for them, I might take them off and replace with regular valve stems if I get rid of it.

Buying direct from China is hit and miss with quality and you really get cheaply made/finished stuff.

IMHO buy them from a store or reputable seller. You can at least look and feel the quality before buying it, or best you can return it.

I would not bother taking them off to put on another bike... just buy another set and add them on the 1st tyre change.
once removed you might have issues getting a good air seal due to the rubbers being squished.
