All thats left is a little paint

Well, after putting my V down a couple of weeks ago I finally think I got her all back to normal again. With the exception of still needing to paint the right upper fairing. I had bent my handle bar and tried to straighten it but it was not good enough I had a left hand forward of my right hand riding position. So I replaced the handle bar with a new OEM one. Still not quite right so today I completley took the front end apart. Tire, both fork tubes, handle bar and lower handlebar holder came off. I could not find any damage to any of it. I broke the torque on the steering stem head bolt wiggled everything around and reassembled everything. From what I can tell so far everything is right in the world again. I thought at first test ride it still felt funny, but I think I was just over sensitive. I am not sure if it was my fall or the way the forks were installed, but they were set too high by about .15. The correct limit is .47. Again I am not sure if this makes a huge difference in the ride but it was a smooth ride home. Maybe it was just the satisfaction of a job well done by my own hands, and my buddies shop! My wife wanted me to take it to a shop, but my tight wallet would not allow that just yet!
