Wink Think i need a 12 step program here!

Less than two months old and look where I'm heading. I thought the Farkelitus was a KLR problem.

The windshield doesn't look to bad, I was worried it'd over power the Versys. And the SC seat blends right in. The Kawasaki/Givi bags give the little bike a fat behind BUT at least they look good. I have found they do leak at the car wash...so did the Hepco Beckers on my Buell. Only saddle bags I have that DON'T leak the the Pelicans on the KLR. Of course they are NOT made to be saddle bags, go figure.

I'm thinking (after reading here) of a R1 shock next. I softened up the preload a couple of click front and rear and it took the edge off. BUT I'm afraid to go much more as I thing the bike will start to wallow in the corners if I go too soft.

I got a couple of Nice shots and a little pond when I stopped to get a drink of water. THEN a goose showed up and decided I was in the way and had to go. To bad it's not Christmas or he'd been in the pot!

Or was that look THEN leap?

Nice machine.

But did I read correctly that you drink from a pond!?!? One that might have goose pee in it at that!

That's what I call brave. No wait, you're correct after all - it's leap then look. It's obviously the corollary to ready, fire, aim.

PS. Recall the sage advice from that unsung Greek philosopher, Testicles, "It is unwise to ride through car washes."

Sad thing is I have another Money Pit here already. I sat down a started adding up the cost and quit when I got the the price of a KLX_250! I just hope the Versys doesn't end up sucking down the cash quite as fast. In fact I have new tires (Michelin T63s) due in the week and a 15t front sprocket. Heading off road in the Wayne National Forest on the 4th and getting ready for that, about 80 miles from here.

It's changed a bit, tail trunk's gone, front fender been changed, the Versys mirrors ended up on the KLR and the stickers are gone. It's a great bike just a little slow on road and why I'm not worried about taking my "V" offroading!

Or was that look THEN leap?

I don't know Black Dog...I saw a little sign in a store once. It was a old cowboy talking and he was saying "I spent most of my money on booze and women...the rest I just wasted!"

So I spent most of my money on KLRs and Versys...the rest I wasted sound about right?

Yup!!! The thought of working just to pay bills was something my wife broke me of. Work to live not live to work and keep plenty of time open for the dog & now I've inherited a parrot.

Nice looking bike!! I bought mine on the 31st of may. nearly 800 miles of riding so far! I am looking into putting on side bags and a top case as well, along with a higher shield at one point.! I had a lowering link put in but I am still tippy toed so I am waiting on my gel seat to arrive!! I also purchased hand guards from kawasaki and really like them!! I had been looking at the 11 left over or the new 2012 black and hands down on looks the 2012 Black won I could not get the 11 just to save a little money.. lol I like the looks of the side cases on your bike but not sure if I like the idea of it leaking in the car wash. Have you had any other times they have leaked>??

I keep my farkles hidden in my car trunk so the g/f doesn't know:

Finally got around to installing the handle bars today... The work amazingly well at reducing the vibs, even without bar ends. Unfortunately I order the wrong spider grips which had reinforced ends... Therefore when I went to cut the tips, they ended up looking like A$$... Oh well... Everything feels far more comfortable now!
