Red to Green

Sold my Red 08 Versys last summer and just picked up a Green 09 Versys with onl 81 miles on it. This is not the first time I've returned to a bike that I had in the past. I've had 4 different Concours's , one was a 14, 3 V-max's, 2 KTM 640's, 2 Goldwings with a grand total of 56 bikes in the last 35 years. One at a time, of course. I need theropy

I'm thinking I'll do the same this spring or summer. I mentioned to a friend who just sold his Concourse that I was gonna buy the same bike again, and he is practically sold on making the Versys his next bike too based on my endorsement. Just curious howmany miles you had on the clock when you sold you 08. I'm in the mid 50Ks myself, and it's still running strong.

Welcome back, I'm on my 3rd '08 so I don't find it strange at all.... Also had 2 Honda CB 400Fs, 2 Honda 750 Nighthawks and 3 Suzuki Boulevard M50s among the different bikes I've owned.

You are my hero! And if you don't mind, your name may come up when I try to convince my wife I need another bike. When she tells me I have a problem, I'm thinking I can say something like "Why can't I have another bike? I know a guy who has had 56 over the past few years!"

I hope you can handle the power difference with the green machine.

I only had my 08 for about 9 months and put an embarrasing 6k on it before I got the itch for a Goldwing which only lasted 2 months. The wife thought she would like it but it never happened so I sold it and bought a new car.

The Green one does seem a little faster than my red one but back then my red one was faster than all the green ones. Go figure
