Versys Wrench day(s)--Need some Help with your bike?

It has occurred to me that there are probably some people out there that need (or want to do something) to their bike before Spring gets here and I'd like to offer my heated, well equipped shop to assist. I'm not talking about major overhauls, just stuff like sprocket change, spark plug change, cable work, etc. Things that are doable in a single day.

I have a 1200 lb lift which makes things a lot easier. I have a large air compressor and air tools, 30 ton press and just about any type of jack you can think of. Sorry, I do not have tire changing capabilities.

You will be doing the work, not me. I'm just your "attractive" assistant with a bubbling personality. I'm not looking for any money however a $5 or $10.00 donation to help with the electricity would be appreciated. Hot & cold beverages on hand.

I'm located in Royse City on the East Side of Dallas and I'm retired so I'm available just about anytime. A few of you fellows have already been over here so you know where I am. Oh, your bike doesn't have to be a Versys.

If you are interested send me an email and we'll schedule a date & time.

That's very nice of you. I have a friend like you in Vegas. Retired Pilot, old timey motorcycle mechanic from the 60's and ex motor cop. He helps me with my bikes all the time. In fact I'm going over this morning and he's going to help me get the front end on my CT70 project.

You're a good guy.

Nothing's too cruel if it's funny enough.

Good on you Don. I've got a retired buddy down here who opens his shop to the rest of us on a regular basis, and it's become a bit of a hangout for some of us. Also a big plus to have a scissors table lift as well as the other goodies to make the job go easier. It's also a great place to learn some new tricks as you can watch other more experienced mechanics tackle jobs before you dive in. Have fun!
