2012 Versys pics at International Motorcycle Show in Seattle, WA

I hope I'm not breaking any rules by linking to another forum. Here are some pics of the new V as seen at the IMS in Seattle...

http://pnwriders.com/motorcycle-show...ki-versys.html

They are tagged with the other forum's name, which is why I didn't just steal them and post them here.

I like the all black- the mixture of flat, satin, and gloss works for me. The yellow is okay...

Thanks for the pics.

IMHO, yellow and black mixture will not be a great deal... in full black, so lovely

Interesting. Comparing it to my 2008 model I notice the fairing, the radiator shroud, and the side panels just above the foot controls are more angular, the brake light, the matte tank side panels, and the muffler and exhaust tip have changed, and probably alot more I haven't noticed just yet. I particularly like the fart relief channel at the rear of the rider's portion of the saddle - a long-overdue improvement.

The yellow and black color scheme reminds of Staurday Night Live's killer bees! Red would have been a better choice, IMHO. Black is beautiful but, damn, it can be difficult to see on the road.

By the way, the fine for linking to another forum is five pounds of Tilamook cheese - which you can mail directly to me!

Yeah, I'm still in love with my '09 green. But if I HAD to give it up for a 2012 model, I'd choose the black.

Arion, 5 lbs of Tilamook cheese is a bit out of my budget. Can I make you a grilled cheese sandwich?

Would have looked much better in IMO if they had of gone all yellow. It kinda looks like they replaced a damaged front fairing with a black one that did not match. When their are so many great color options they could have chosen, WHY this. The 2011 looked great but why this?

I like everything about the yellow one! I didn't like the look of the new headlight/fairing setup initially but with the cool windscreen, gloss hand guards and that shweet luggage kit it looks fricken awesome. The black one looks nice too but just a bit boring IMO. The Versys looks different to other bikes which is why I like it so much - the yellow really stands out. I want one - maybe I'll just paint my green 08 to make it feel like a new bike

Edit...

Ooh, something I don't like - the rear guard thingy. The indicators are cool but whats with the tail hanging down like that? A quick tail-tidy with a hugger would fix it of course...

Agreed! Of course I ride a black horse!
But that dude that loves wasps is going to go crazy when he sees that yellow!

The yellow one needs yellow color panels on the panniers. Looks...like a Versys!

My sister got me a moto backpack and i ended up doing the same thing with it.... i never liked the idea of having it on my back while riding, so i hung it off the seat, turn the seat key, barely lift seat and easy on and off of the backpack, and i'm able to carry it away. It even has a helmet net to attach your helmet to the backpack for when you do carry it over the shoulder. I'm very happy with it. Joey.
